BEHIND THE LENS

I am a banker by profession and I never really thought I would become a professional photographer one day.  My love for photography started with my interest in gadgets. I learned the basics of photography at the Federation of Philippine Photographers Federation (FPPF) in Intramuros, Manila. It got me started in this craft and I further took up advance wedding and portrait photography at Philippine Center for Creative Imaging (PCCI) in Makati.  I also had the opportunity to train under the mentorship of Mr. Jay Jallorina and Mr. Edwin Martinez of Chasing Lights. I have been into landscape photography for a good number of years and my love for nature took me to several wonderful places around the country and abroad.

A few years later, I had the opportunity to go into food photography. I have since worked with several food brands. As a professional food photographer, my business focuses on using high quality images. I love to collaborate and bring creative ideas into reality.

My corporate background plays a huge role in getting myself into food and photography. As a banker, I developed businesses and products for top corporations for decades. My extensive experience gave me an in depth understanding of what the market needs. For me, this is what photography is all about – it communicates and sells a story. An excellent photograph is not just about lighting and composition, it is capturing a story that unfolds using powerful images.

During my free time, you won’t see me hang a camera around my shoulders. You’d find me lounging around the sofa either watching movies or my favorite TV series.
